Who We Are
FieldSnips is an organization dedicated to providing career exposure for 4th to 6th grade students attending Title I schools.
Our mission is to ignite curiosity and ambition by connecting students with a diverse range of career professionals. We offer a multifaceted approach to career exploration by bringing professionals into the classroom, creating engaging video content and organizing unique field trips.
With a deliberate focus on representation through race and gender, we empower young students to explore, dream, and discover their paths to success, through meaningful encounters with career professionals who reflect student identities.
Our Story
FieldSnips began with a simple yet powerful observation: students in Title I schools possess an incredible amount of potential and curiosity, but many lack the opportunities to explore the vast world beyond their immediate surroundings. Traditional field trips offered glimpses into different careers, but they were often limited by logistics, time, and resources. We knew there had to be a better way to expand students’ horizons and inspire them to dream bigger.
The idea for FieldSnips was born out of a desire to bridge this gap. It started with our founder, who often volunteered in classrooms and saw the spark in students’ eyes whenever they learned something new. She realized that if she could bring professionals from various fields directly into her classroom—virtually or in person—she could nurture that spark into a flame of curiosity and ambition. This vision was shared with a group of passionate educators and professionals who believed in the transformative power of career exploration. Together, they envisioned a program that would go beyond traditional field trips, offering a more comprehensive and accessible way for students to explore potential career paths.
FieldSnips was created to inspire and empower students by giving them direct access to professionals who could share their experiences, challenges, and successes. We wanted to show students that their dreams are within reach, no matter where they come from.
Today, FieldSnips connects students with a diverse range of professionals from various industries, providing them with the inspiration and knowledge they need to explore the possibilities ahead. Our mission is to open doors, ignite passions, and help students see the endless potential that lies within them. By working closely with teachers and schools, we aim to ensure that every student, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to envision a future full of possibilities.

We organize traditional field trips that take students out of the classroom and into the real world. These trips provide hands-on experiences and direct exposure to different work environments, allowing students to see and understand various careers in action.
Through these immersive experiences, students gain a deeper appreciation for the opportunities available to them and the steps they can take to achieve their goals.
